The Boards of Health Bodies are made up of a diverse mix of non-executive and executive members, reflective of the populations and communities they serve.
All members are appointed by the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport. The make-up of each Board will look slightly different based on the needs of the organisation but there are 3 main roles that constitute a Board; the Chair, Non-Executive Members and the Executive Team.
We have a range of materials to support all Board Members in their roles. See pages below for further information and helpful resources to get you started or continue your development as a Board Member.
