All health bodies are required either by law or Scottish Government policy to have a suite of corporate governance policies and procedures.
Examples are Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions, Scheme of Delegation, and a Code of Conduct for Board members.

Model Code of Conduct

Standing Orders
The Model Standing Order template has been developed for use by all health bodies. This was formally circulated for use under DL(2019)24.

A Board Paper Template was developed to enhance consistency across NHS Scotland Board Meetings. This was formally circulated for use under DL(2021)31.

Non-Executive Appraisal
Yearly Appraisal meetings should be carried out between the Chair of the NHS Board and Non-Executive Board Members.
Use the template below to guide the Appraisal conversation, the template should be completed and agreed before submitting to the OCENHS Team ocenhs@gov.scot.
